OXYYBITOR - Anti-Oxidant Solution

Reducing the graphite consumption is a critical issue for electric arc furnace in the steel industry. This can be done in two ways by either coating the electrode surface from oxidation or by delaying the oxidation process.


The preferred technique in the electric steel production is to add a protective coating for the graphite electrodes in order to reduce the oxidation in the furnace. The Oxyybitor is a protective coating for the graphite electrodes which can be used on the RP, HP as well as the UHP graphite electrode. This coating is made from Nano composites specifically developed to reduce the oxidation of the electrodes .


In the electric arc furnaces, the graphite electrodes coated with Oxyybitor solution will see a reduction of at least 18-20% in the oxidation. We at AGI Resources Limited are dedicated to continuously further improve the coating to give even better results. 


Oxyybitor solution is comprised of dispersed groups of nano particles. These nano particles exhibit unique properties which enhances the main product resulting in optimum performance.


Oxyybitor is an anti oxidation solution which creates a nano film on electrode to ensure optimum utilization of the product  

Oxyybitor’s unique properties include Thermal shock resistance, Abrasion resistance, No adverse impact on steel, Stable against corrosion, Can withstand very high temperatures, High Electrical conductivity and it is the ideal chemical and mechanical connect on the graphite electrode surface

Impact of Dipping on Graphite Electrode Properties

The treatment doesn’t change the Electro-Physical properties of the electrodes and doesn’t leave any kind of residual on the copper contact pads.

The Nano particles do not make any impact on the chemical composition of the produced steel.

The thermal expansion, flexural strength, compressive and tensile strength of Graphite Electrode remains unaltered.
